WIN one of these great children's books!

I'm still working on The i Tetralogy, and will have the giveaway posted along with the review ASAP. In the meantime, for your contesting pleasure, I offer you...

The Magic in You by Sally H. Taylor

Sally H. Taylor's first children's picture book, The Magic in You!, is an enchanting introduction to an author with volumes of talent. The story tells of a little flower that grows by the roadside. The flower's self-confidence wanes after one of her shiny petals is eaten by a Billy goat, and dims even further when a car runs over one of her leaves. Depressed and lonely, the flower is visited by a fairy. The flower asks the fairy to make her beautiful, but the fairy declines. She tells the flower beauty and happiness can be found inside.

Willie's Dad by Stanley Williams

With his new release, Willie's Dad, Stanley Williams attempts to capture the anxiety and trepidation felt by children of incarcerated parents. Willie is a kindergartner who hasn't seen his father in a long time. Throughout his entire life, his father has been at "The Place," but his mother tells him not to talk about it with others because they won't understand. He has only seen his father a few times and has trouble remembering him.

Follow the links for the full reviews. All you need to do to win either (or both!) of these lovely children's books is post a comment here, letting me know which one (or both!) you'd like. This giveaway is open to anyone in the United States. Make sure you leave an email address where you can be contacted if your profile does not automatically link back to a blog or contact information. Enter by Sunday, March 30th, 2008 and I'll choose a winner for each book on the following Monday when I drag my butt out of bed. Good luck!

Greetings, I would be honored to win either of these touching books! They both convey a positive message, one maybe clearer than the other. "The Magic In You" would be my favorite because of its' message on looking on the inside of yourself for beauty!
It would make a fabulous keepsake book for a Godchild, daughter, son, niece, nephew, etc. Please enter me in your drawing. Thanks very much!

Hello Breeni!

I just recently started blogging and I found your link though another one of our "blogging friends". You have a gorgeous site! It's really beautiful and the reviews are wonderful!

This is my FIRST HELLO but it won't be my last! I've been going through some trials of my own health wise lately and I think that "The Magic In You" would be wonderful to share with my child. After all, a family does face things like this together and it greatly affects any children involved.

This looks like a beautifully illustrated book that tells an important tale with a lesson. Thank you for posting this review. Your generosity is appreciated!

Nice to "meet" you!
Amy

WOW! Either of these books would be a wonderful addition to our children's library!
I have a fascination with road-side flowers, and always have. They can be so pretty, and yet we miss them so often...
And, my children have an uncle currently serving 22 yrs in prison. My youngest has never seen him. I dealt with having an incarcerated parent when I was a child, but still have never spoken about it with them. A book like this would help so much and needed to be written.
